A Poem from one of our Poetry Club Members
In our poetry club we have quite a few members who’s talent deserves to be recognized so I have taken some time to share their work with the Blog!
Untitled
I feel serene surrounded by green
and in the forest my mind is keen.
Focused on my step I don’t question much
Unworried if my ambitions are outside of my clutch.
Unworried If my efforts are in vain,
Or of any coming emotional pain.
The pressure I put on myself,
All left on the shelf.
Despite it all, out here,
Where others rarely appear,
There is no one to hold dear
A sacrifice most severe.
Necessary nonetheless
To relieve my distress
Having no one to caress
In this state, is likely for the best.
So, I try to find peace in that I’m like a tree
elegant and without worry
But like a tree, in the middle of the woods, with unfettered joys
If I were to fall I wouldn’t make noise.
