Capturing the Joy: My Journey as the Photographer and Videographer at Kava Luv
My name is Tommy Gray. I am the photographer and videographer at Kava Luv. This job has brought me so many opportunities and I am so appreciative of the work I get to do here. Whether it be allowing my creative vision to flourish, or just helping cement myself into the industry as a photographer, every shoot fills me with joy and brings me so much insight. Surprisingly, I hold quite a bit of power here. I have the pleasure of capturing Kava Luv’s essence. I watch as my photos and videos of our parties and get-togethers show off our beautifully diverse community. I get to show off the amazing people that Kava luv has brought together with good times, botanical tea, and kava.
My personal favorite shoots are any of the Wellness Wednesdays and the Halloween Party we had last year. Each of those events helps me hone my craft further, while I get to capture the moments where we are all our happiest. In costumes, in conversation, in excitement, and in laughter, all the positive moments that we have together can be looked back upon so we can strive to make those moments with others and maintain the love that our community has. Halloween was a phenomenal event. Every person expresses themselves in costume and shares the fun, meanwhile I work diligently to make sure we can all look back and no one forgets the amazing time we all had together. I have such a great time helping others see what they are missing out on and I would love to see new people at the next costume party we throw. Each of these events gives me the opportunity to capture the most amazing smiles, loving interactions, and so many good laughs.
As the time has progressed I have gotten the amazing opportunity to work with Laurelynn on our social media projects. She is extremely funny and so creative which makes every video we do bring a smile to my face. We have worked so hard to do the same for our family here at Kava Luv. Every chance we get to share what we have with our viewers we take seriously. Laurelynn and I love making each and every person welcome, and ensure you leave happier than you arrived. I have such a great time working for Kava Luv. All I want to do is ensure you understand how much we want you to be a part of this family. Kava Luv has brought me so much and I would love nothing more than to document that you became a part of our family.
